Finger Lakes Wines and Wineries

Cayuga Wine Trail
As the first wine trail in New York, the Cayuga Wine Trail has become a model for other wine trails both in New York and around the country. 16 wineries, with eastern exposures, vineyards are bathed in early morning sunshine, which helps to ripen their grapes in this northern, cool-climate region. Vineyard elevations never exceed 800 feet above the lake’s surface and steep slopes run down to its shore, facilitating air patterns that create a unique microclimate in autumn creating a perfect harvest season.

Seneca Lake Wine Trail
Surrounding the sapphire waters of Seneca Lake, 36 wineries invite you to experience a destination rich in history, beauty, and the production of world-class wines. The local climate supports not only the growth of hardy native grapes and premium hybrids, but also more delicate varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir.

Keuka Lake Wine Trail
Savor a rich blend of history, diversity and hospitality as you taste the wine and enjoy breathtaking views along Keuka Lake and over 10 wineries.

Finger Lakes Wine Festival
The Finger Lakes Wine Festival, is the largest showcase of New York State wines and is held July 17-19, 2009 at Watkins Glen International with more than 85 wineries, pouring over 600 wines. The Festival also features a variety of arts and crafts vendors, jewelers, gourmet foods and live music.
